Through its direct connection to BLIK, Nopan helps merchants and payment service providers improve payment performance and reliability while delivering a seamless payment journey to BLIK's 21.6 million active users.
Amsterdam, 15th of September 2026 – Nopan, the performance platform for account and wallet payments, today announced that it has become a direct scheme member of BLIK, Poland's payment standard. Merchants and payment service providers (PSPs) working with Nopan can now offer BLIK at checkout, with payments processed through Nopan's direct connection to the scheme.
BLIK is one of Europe's strongest examples of a domestic payment method achieving mainstream adoption. Available directly through mobile banking apps across all banks in Poland, BLIK has become an integral part of the everyday payment experience for Polish consumers. At the end of June 2026, it had 21.6 million active users, who completed 1.6 billion transactions during the first half of the year. For merchants serving Polish consumers, offering BLIK at checkout is an expectation, not an alternative.
Turning consumer preference into revenue requires more than simply making BLIK available. The journey from payment selection through confirmation must be actively managed: identifying where customers drop out, understanding how timeouts and retries affect completion, and continually improving the experience.
Nopan's direct scheme membership removes an intermediary from the processing path and gives Nopan access to scheme-level transaction data rather than a summarised view. Nopan turns that data into visibility for the merchants and PSPs it works with, giving them greater control to shape the payment experience around their shoppers and the insight to keep optimising it. Drawing on first-hand merchant experience, Nopan treats each payment method as a product to be managed over time, rather than an integration completed once and left alone.
"BLIK has already earned the trust of Polish shoppers, so meeting their expectations at checkout is our starting point, not our end goal," said Konstantin Surkov, Co-Founder and CEO of Nopan. "Our role is to help merchants make the most of that trust. With a direct connection and detailed scheme data, we can work with their teams to understand where confirmations are lost, improve how the flow responds to hesitation or dropped connections, and raise payment performance over time."
“BLIK has become a permanent part of the online shopping experience in Poland, with data from the National Bank of Poland showing that it is already used to pay for more than 70% of e-commerce transactions. Making BLIK more widely available is therefore a natural response to the needs and preferences of Polish consumers. The checkout is a critical moment in the shopping journey, and having access to a preferred payment method can make a real difference in whether a purchase is completed. We value our cooperation with Nopan as a technology partner that will help merchants make BLIK more accessible and support millions of Polish consumers who choose it as their preferred way to pay online,” said Adam Kokoszkiewicz, Director of Sales at BLIK.
BLIK is now available to merchants and payment service providers through Nopan.
